Applauded for high-energy performances and her passion and dynamism Julie Bale has enjoyed a successful career in music as a soprano, voice teacher and workshop leader of renown and more recently as a conductor and choir leader. Her leadership style and ability to be an excellent musical communicator have led her to some very successful engagements. She is the conductor of Northwood Choral Society, East Barnet Ladies Choir and North Middlesex TG Choir. With her clear artistic vision, musicality, and inspired programming, and gift for empathy with choirs Julie has now firmly established herself as a conductor and choir leader of skill.
As a voice trainer Julie has worked with voices at all levels of the profession, she trained as a classical singer with Janice Chapman MOA and has held posts of Resident Singing Teacher with a number of Prestigious London Choirs including London Oriana Choir. She regularly leads workshops with choirs on vocal and performance technique as well as running her own highly successful private practice in Watford.
As a singer Julie has performed the majority of the major choral works with choirs all around the UK. She is particularly in demand for performances of Verdi’s Requiem and Orff’s Carmina Burana. In opera her highlights have been as Leonora Fidelio and Helmwige Die Walküre as well as the Mozart heroines. She is also an experienced recitalist most recently giving a performance of Richard Strauss Four Last Songs at Ely Cathedral.
