What can I say... I’m just so very fascinated by vocal technique and how just a little knowledge can make a huge difference in our sound and indeed comfort levels. I’m passionate about passing on this knowledge for singers both in a solo and choral context!
in my choirs we always have a little technical section at the beginning of the evening... sneaked into the warm-up, but I’m aware that many singers then are keen to have more.
SO!!!! I’ve developed a purely vocal technique workshop which we are running as part of Northwood Choral Society on April 25th. There are only around 3 places left... but I have now opened this for singers from any choir, or soloists to come along.
We will be focussing on the core competencies of Breath, Postural Alignment and Primal Sound and touching on Resonance, Articulation and phonation... so a bit of everything...
There will be tips for performance technique and even opportunities for soloists to sing (with an accompanist) in a masterclass setting.
All participants will be taking an active part though!!
The workshop runs from 10am to 1pm at St John’s URC - Northwood. More details in my events section or on https://www.northwoodchoralsociety.com/
